Today, on World Migrant Day, we stop for a moment and think of the millions of people who are on the move.
Behind every migration story is a human being, not a headline. Someone with a name, a memory, a favourite song, a story to tell. Someone who deserves to be seen not through the lens of crisis, but through the lens of dignity and possibility.
We grow up seeing the world through the stories we hear—so what happens if we choose to tell stories that show strength, joy, and resilience?
We choose to see the joy
When people think of migration, the images that usually come to mind are difficult ones: overcrowded tents, uncertain futures, long waits. And yes, these realities exist. But they are never the whole picture.
In the middle of uncertainty, we regularly witness moments of humanity and kindness. And when a RED NOSES clown artist appears, those sparks of joy and connection already present in people simply grow louder, brighter, and more contagious. It’s not about making anyone forget their reality—it’s about reminding them that they still have the capacity to feel, to connect, and to play.

When we tell stories from our field missions, we think carefully about the people behind every image. Many are living through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Their trust is not something we take for granted.
