We're shocked by the sheer scope of devastation in the wake of the earthquake in the border region of Turkey and Syria. Countless lives lost; livelihoods destroyed from one moment to the other. 

Our heart reaches out to people affected by this disaster, and we applaud all the first responders on the ground saving lives.

The humanitarian crisis, however, will go long beyond the immediate emergency: as we know all too well from our Emergency Smile missions in multiple crisis regions, children and families need fast and professional psychosocial support in order to regain and maintain their Mental Health and emotional strength once the basic needs are met.
